Released on October 2009, the album soon gained public attention! After a short period of time, GOOD FOR THE SOUL was in Rolling Stone's 2009 Best 20 Indonesian Album, along with many great music from great musicians from all around Indonesia.
The band called the album "a coffee album", why is that?
Simple reason, the soothing and relaxing ambient brought by this album is super comfortable. Coffee would be a perfect thing to describe the sonic sound of all the 11 tunes inside this record.
GOOD FOR THE SOUL was recorded at Warehouse Music Studio, in Jakarta. Produced by their very own Andre Harihandoyo (executive producer Warehouse Music Records).
"It took 11 - 12 months in total to finish the album", said Tobias, the drummer. "We wanted it to be perfect, the mood, the songs, the sounds, everything.. plus, we have to deal with all the stage we had at the moment, it was tiring, but fun" he continued..
The music has lots of fans, from male to female. Young people to the elder, even babies enjoy these songs for lullaby.
Their main topic of the album is focused on Heartbreak situation, where you will find it to be different than most heartbreak songs. The first single (also first track of the album) "THE BREAKUP" has been on radio charts for weeks, some even months.
It seems that the lyrics reached through most people, and they seemed kinda get it. Not the mention the soothing music.
